Projects
Aquawareness
After a public voting at Green Week 2010 and the possibility of casting an online vote, a panel of expert judges determined the final winners of the first Aquawareness Photo Competition “Who cares … about water? Nature does!”.
Around Europe, numerous activities are undertaken on Climate Change Adaptation and Water. However, coordination and cooperation between these projects is mostly lacking, which causes a lot of potential to be unused. Sharing of experiences and best practices is clearly needed by setting up a European Dialogue which will focus on raising awareness, exchanging experiences and best practices between all stakeholders. It will be a focal point for coordination in Europe, as well as towards the outside world.
European Water House
Based on the principles of the Water Vision for Europe, the European Water House is being established as to make it visible and applicable, to demonstrate that working together with private and public structures, local, regional, national and European institutions may turn these principles into a coherent reality for a sustainable future. It will be the venue where concepts, policies and debates are presented in a concrete visible manner, demonstrating the vast potential of appropriate water technology and its practical and educational applications.
