Description
The village Kossuma is situated 6 km from the capital of its commune (Nemabadenya- Kafo circle of Djénné, region of Mopti). The main activities are: agriculture, livestock and fishery, which are now unable to meet the basic needs of the populations due to the harsh climate. They (the population) have turned to income-generating activities such as gardening. The village is surrounded by surface water that is consumed by the population, the realization of the proposed vegetable perimeter will change these bad habits in addition to improving incomes.
Expected Outcomes
Specific objectives: The vegetable garden will have a well with a large diameter of 1.40 meters to water the vegetable perimeter and bring the people drinking water for consumption.
Expected results: A large diameter well is dug.
Activities and strategies: Digging of a well; closing preparation; manufacturing of labour boards; plant nursery; watering and maintenance. Responsible participation of 52 women and 11 men in all stages of the project.
Impacts: Improve the diet of the population and children; Improve people's incomes; Strengthening of social cohesion operators; Create a green space in the village.
