Description
The need for such project arose due to the fact that Issykul region is a wide known resort area. However, there are no restrooms or trash cans on the beach area that leads to the pollution of the area near the lake. There are many tourists and they need some conditions. The "Altay" CBO is concerned with this problem because the water is polluted as a result of this actions. There is not only the pollution of the lake but also the bacterias' growth that can be harmful to the health of people. Dry latrines do not pollute the water, the potensial harmful wastes are processed into not harmful and used as resources. The construction of these latrines is simple and appropriate for any household. The CBO has decribed the utilization and construction of the dry latrines in details. This will help to keep the resort areas clean. Actions to be undertaken
- Conducting a introductory seminar on the scope of the project (increasing awareness of the local population and local authorities about the global ecological problems and the relation of this project to this problems).
- Determining the area for the construction of demonstrative dry type of latrine.
- Conducting an analysis of the water and soil in the chosen area.
- Construction of dry type of latrines in the amount of 3.
- Publishing brochures, posters on the construction and exploitation of the dry type of latrines.
- Information campaign.
