Description
The overall objective of the project is to improve the living standards of the Palestinians in the relevant communities through improvement of the environmental Health conditions and reducing poverty and unemployment figures through the creation of temporary job opportunities for the local communities through water infrastructure development projects.
The specific objectives are to provide reliable water supply to six Palestinian communities in the West Bank and increase the availability of good quality water to those communities; and to develop water infrastructure projects, including construction, rehabilitation, and installation of house water connection.
This programme includes the construction and development of water infrastructure projects in six localities in the West Bank: *1) Installation of 120 house water connections in Ain Qinya;
- 2) Construction of 300CM ground water reservoir, a booster station and 200 CM balance tank in Qufr Qalil;
- 3) Installation of 1600 house water connections in Yatta;
- 4) Construction of 200CM elevated Water Reservoir in Rantis;
- 5) Rehabilitation of the 2nd phase of water network in Shuqba including installation of 500 CM water connections and
- 6) Construction of the 2nd phase of Water Network including House water connections in Baqa Sharqiya town.
