Description
The project aims to ensure that the integrated land and water management throughout the Tisza River Basin meets the short and long-term requirements for optimum ecosystem function as well as the needs of the communities using the river adapting to the stress of fluctuating climatic conditions in the region. It also aims to ensure realization of a long-term Flood Prevention and Risk Management strategy. A subsidiary aim is to reduce the nutrient load of the Tisza River into the Danube and Black Sea and improve its water quality.
