Description

The project seeks to diagnose the real problem of Puerto Hualtaco, so they can develop a concerted plan of action. Having prepared the Plan of Action, concrete cleaning and environmental restoration will be taken. This will be accompanied by a strong awareness and outreach campaign to motivate the active participation of various sectors. It will also systematize and disseminate a set of best practices for management of exploitable species of fish, crustaceans and molluscs, species which form the livelihood of thousands of families in the area of Puerto Hualtaco. Additionally, the project seeks to develop a processes for institutionalizing conservation, through the active involvement of the actors, under the leadership of the municipality. The idea is to include all sectors of society.
