• Assessment of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of hydrosphere,

SHMI furthermore manages:

• Centre of Partial Monitoring System "Water" activities,
• Operation, maintenance and development of databases and information

systems,

• Provision of information on the state of environment components prepared by the institute in accordance with present legislation,
• Creation of integrated information products of cross-sectional character for customers using new technologies (e.g. geographic information systems).
