There is probably no fully agreed definition of sustainable development. However, most people agree that sustainable development means undertaking development activities while improving and maintaining the well-being of people and ecosystems into the future. Such development is likely to be sustainable if it improves the quality of human life while conserving the Earth’s vitality and diversity.
