The overall objective of the mission is to identify specific means whereby UNDP may further the achievement of WSS MDGs through governance-focussed interventions, and support to UN country teams and partners.
Specifically, the mission will:
Analyze ongoing WSS activities in selected countries with a view to identifying potential entry points where UNDP may play a constructive part;
Initiate, in consultation with key partners, the identification and definition of UNDP support to strengthen WSS governance capacities, planning and implementation in 8 – 10 target countries.
