The Project Goal is to build upon and improve the institutional (Governorate, District, Community) capacities to promote and secure sustainable water and sanitation management in the Republic of Yemen. The Project Purpose is to develop a model for long-term, sustainable stewardship of water and sanitation services at the community level within the Masila Region of Hadhramout Governorate, and replicable throughout the rest of Yemen. The Project is a model under the UN's Global Compact Initiative, and aims to demonstrate a replicable model of joint UN-private sector cooperation.
