Technical Assistance to municipalities in the Una Watershed around Bihac and Prijedor (NW-Bosnia), including reconstruction of aquatic and eolian monitoring stations, awareness raising, creation of protected areas, NGO support and capacity building.

Lessons for Replication
It can be said that despite the functioning and cooperation amongst entities of Republika Srpska (Serbia) und federations of BiH/FBiH, the new EC-supported water law (which never materialized based on political differences) was a main pitfall for the programme. However, from a local level perspective the programme did produce some results. Surprisingly, conflicts did not occur between the population of the different ethicies - as commonly expected - but rather between different governmental levels, due to particular/singular interests.
