Description

The key objectives are of the project are:

1. Strengthening national capacities to mainstream environment and energy concerns into national development plans and implementation;
2. Helping countries develop and use market mechanisms to support environmental management;
3. Developing national capacities to mainstream climate change adaptation policies into national development plans;
4. Strengthening capacity of local institutions to manage the environment and expand environment and energy services, especially to the poor;
5. Providing support to cross cutting areas in knowledge management and global advocacy.
