Description
Strategic support for improved water governance to advance socially equitable, environmentally sustainable and economically efficient management of water resources, including water and sanitation services to improve the livelihood of poor people. Components include increased institutional and HR capacity to achieve MDGs, covering five thematic areas of support: National strategies for equitable management and governance of Water Supply & Sanitation and IWRM; Cooperation on Transboundary Waters; Adaptation to climate change; Global and regional advocacy & collaboration on water governance; and Cross-cutting themes: Gender, HRBA, Integrity etc.
