Description
The Development Objective of this project is to improve the living conditions in selected semi-informal settlements (novostroiki) in Bishkek and Osh, the two largest cities of Kyrgyzstan, by increasing the availability of basic infrastructure to the residents of these areas. The outcome of the project will be monitorable improvements in the quantity and quality of basic services (water supply, roads, etc.) available to novostroiki residents. Specifically, the project performance will be assessed against criteria such as:
- Increase in number of residents benefiting from 12-hour availability of safe potable water.
- Increase in number of residents with access to piped potable water within a distance of less than 150m.
- Increase in number of residents with access to roads open to public transportation within a distance of less 500m.
- Number of community investment projects successfully completed.
